Warm Wishes from the Solvay Brussels School - ULB !

Psssst … If writing a Christmas speech or wishes for the New Year is a struggle, just try to answer the following simple questions.
What do we want or expect to hear ? What would delight us ? Is it stories about the events of the year shared by everybody, triumphs or challenges ?
Does the occasion suit light-hearted humor or is solemn more appropriated ?
Do you aim to inspire ? Do you wish to unite ? Do you want to thank people ?
Or do you just want them to laugh a bit and relax ?

Christmas and the New Year …

It´s about all of the above and much more. It is certainly about giving, warmth, hope, remembrance, family and unity. It is about contentment and about promises made, well intended and so difficult to keep.
But Christmas 25 and the New Year 1 are not just dates. They are a state of the mind. He or she who has no Christmas in his or her heart, will certainly not find under a tree or in a shop.

So, let our students sparkle, our staff glitter and our faculty shine, the whole year round with the season´s spirit in our hearts.

Wishing you the happiest of holidays,

Philip Vergauwen
Dean of the Solvay Brussels School - ULB
