Sustainable Development at SBS-EM
Vision
Sustainable development is the great challenge of our time. It is complex and requires us to think out of the box, take multiple perspectives and invent new solutions. Since its foundation in 1903, the Solvay Brussels School has dedicated itself to training men and women who can take on these kinds of challenges.
Today, sustainable development draws together a number of initiatives from across the School which all work towards the same goal, namely: to contribute to the invention of this better world through research, education, outreach, and through leading by example. Come and join us in this endeavour.
Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Dean of the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management - ULB
Sustainable Development over Time
How ?
Sustainable development is inspiring and progressively transforming all our activities across the School. Find out more about our different initiatives (some icons are not available yet):
The Université libre de Bruxelles is one of the 300+ institutions of higher education which signed the Rio+20 Declaration of Higher Education, each committing to promoting the integration of sustainable development into teaching, research, outreach and their own operations. We are proud to contribute to the ULB’s commitments and to collaborate on this journey with other leading business schools around the world as part of the United Nations-sponsored Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) network.
